Captain Harlock refused to surrender to Illumidas (Mazone) race who has conquered the Earth. Harlock joined with Daiba Tadashi, an orphan who hates the earth new government; Mime, the last alien race whose home world was destroyed; and other interesting characters such as Yatran and Maji.
(Originally meant to be a TV release in summer '02, Outside Legend's production was delayed, TV release was cancelled and the series was released as an OVA. In autumn '03, it was then rescheduled to be broadcast on TV Nihon.)
